Restoration & Stabilization  Projects

The Ontario County Soil & Water Conservation District is a public service agency dedicated to the conservation of natural resources in Ontario County. Ontario County is rich in natural resources, such as our agricultural lands, extensive forests, abundant wildlife and water resources that enhance the quality of life for all residents of the county. It is the duty of Ontario County SWCD to preserve and protect these resources. By working with local municipalities, organizations, and landowners, the Ontario County SWCD works hard to find funding to put projects on the ground and improve our water quality. From stabilizing eroding streambanks to restoring a waterway back to its meandering channels, we can protect our soils from erosion and keep our waters clean for future generations.
