Structural Erosion Control System in the Town of East Bloomfield

A farm in the Town of East Bloomfield has been experiencing erosion from stormwater runoff. For this site, Ontario County SWCD recently installed 1 water and sediment control basin (WASCOB) with an 800ft underground outlet. The basin will temporarily retain stormwater runoff, allowing the outlets to slowly release the water off the cropland while trapping the sediment into the basin. This project was supported by Round 18 of the Agricultural Environmental Management (AEM) Base program Tier 4 cost-share implementation funds.
