ROAD AND STREAMBANK STABILIZATION |

Road and stream bank erosion cause loss of property, threaten roads, culverts, bridges and buildings and carry tons of soil into waterways. Increased flooding and polluted waterways are only two of the many undesirable consequences of this sedimentation. Ontario County SWCD provides technical assistance in planning and implementing measures to reduce stream channel erosion, reduce stormwater runoff volumes, capture pollutants, maintain stream corridor capacity, and reduce or eliminate erosion on construction sites and cropland. |
